We’re excited to welcome Mr. Joe, our newest volunteer teacher at ABVN!

 

Mr. Joe was born in San Francisco, now he lives in outside of New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.

 

He went to college at the University of Northern Colorado receiving a BA in Sociology/Anthropology. He also had an MS in Education focusing on curriculum development for adult education. He went to work on the Space Shuttle program in New Orleans, Louisiana for large Federal contractor as a Contracts Specialist. He retired in 2009 and then worked as a consultant for several different businesses, large and small. During this time, he also served as a Virtual Peace Corps participant supporting a Woman’s Non-Profit with developing a Business Plan, a South African tribe in developing effective grant applications, Ukraine non profit developing capture strategies and grant applications and a Ethiopian non-profit writing grant applications. He has been active in my community and has served as a board member of several local non-profits.

 

Mr. Joe’s connection to ABVN comes from Teacher James, who is a vetarant teacher of project. Thanks to Teacher James, Mr. Joe was inspired to join ABVN and support Vietnamese students.
